Is my data safe?
Yes — and we designed LifeFlow to know as little about you as possible. Your records are protected by database Row-Level Security, so you can only ever read and write your own data. We never see your card number (Stripe handles all payments), our error monitoring is configured to scrub personal and financial values, and we don't sell your data or share it for advertising. You can also delete everything yourself at any time.
Do I need to link my bank?
No — and you never will. LifeFlow has no bank linking, by design: no Plaid, no bank credentials, no transaction history. Your data is only ever what you type. It's a deliberate trust choice: there are no bank logins to leak, and your accounts are never exposed. It takes a few minutes to enter your numbers, and you stay in complete control of what LifeFlow knows.
How is LifeFlow different from Mint, Monarch, or YNAB?
Those are trackers — they look backward and answer 'where did my money go?', usually by syncing to your bank. LifeFlow looks forward. Instead of categorizing the past, it projects your financial future, tells you the year work becomes optional, and helps you spend on the life you want now without sacrificing later. It's forward-looking and warm, with no bank sync — a planning tool, not a spreadsheet of receipts.

No. LifeFlow is an informational and planning tool, not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and we are not your financial advisor or fiduciary. Every projection is an illustrative estimate based on the information you enter and on simplified assumptions — your actual results will differ. Use it as a starting point for your own thinking, and consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your money.
What does the AI see?
Very little. When you use an AI feature, it receives only rounded, derived figures — things like '62% funded' or 'about 4 months of expenses.' It never receives your name, your individual accounts, your balances, or your transactions. Anthropic is our sole AI provider and does not train on data sent through its API. And the AI can't invent a number: our engine computes every figure, the AI only narrates it, and a numeric guard rejects any digit it wasn't given.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel anytime. Your Premium access continues through the end of the period you've already paid for, and it simply won't renew afterward — no penalty, no lock-in. New subscribers are also covered by a 14-day money-back guarantee on their first purchase, so you can try Premium with peace of mind.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, and you don't need to ask us. Account deletion is self-serve: it cancels any active subscription immediately, then wipes the data you entered, then removes your login. Everything, gone — under your control, whenever you want.
How accurate are the projections?
The math is exact and deterministic — the same engine powers the whole app, so the numbers are consistent everywhere. But a projection is still an estimate, because it's built on your inputs and on simplified assumptions, like steady average returns. Real markets rise and fall year to year, so treat the curve as a smooth average, not a prediction of any single year. Better inputs give a better estimate, and it's never a guarantee of future results.
