Why the existing tools felt wrong
The apps we tried came in two flavors. Trackers — endlessly categorizing where your money already went, backward-looking and a little joyless. And retirement simulators — powerful, but built for spreadsheet lovers, cold and intimidating for everyone else. Neither one answered the question people actually carry around: am I going to be okay — and can I enjoy the meantime?
